Contura Scriven Ministries is focused on teaching the uncompromised word of the Lord. We want everyone to understand God’s principles and to grow to become all that God desires for them to be.
Statement of Faith
We believe that the Bible is the word of God. Supernaturally inspired and inerrant in the original manuscripts. The scriptures have been preserved by God in its verbal inspiration and is a divinely authoritative standard for every age and every life.
We believe that the godhead exists eternally in three persons; Father, son, and Holy Spirit and that these three are one God. We believe that God is the absolute and soul creator of the universe and that creation was by divine command. We believe that God, by his sovereign choice and out of his love for men, sent Christ into the world to save sinners.
We believe that Jesus Christ in the flesh was both God and man. That He was born of a virgin and that He lived a sinless life; that He was crucified, died as a penalty for our sins, and was raised from the dead on the third day. He later ascended to the Father’s right hand where he is the head of the church and intercedes for all believers.
We believe that in his death and by His shed blood, the Lord Jesus Christ made atonement for sin and redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us. Men are saved and justified on this foundation. We believe that salvation with its forgiveness of sins, its importation of a new nature, and its hope of eternal life, is entirely apart from good works, baptism, church membership or any man’s effort and is of grace.
We believe that a true believer is eternally secure, that he cannot lose his salvation, but that doesn’t give them a license to sin. We believe that all who receive Christ Jesus become joint heirs with him, and at death, their spirits depart to be with Christ and we believe that at rapture, their bodies will be raised to the likeness of the body of his glory and dwell therefore for ever in his divine presence.
We believe that it should be the goal of every believer to become a disciple of Christ by growing toward spiritual maturity through the knowledge of and obedience to the word of God and by submitting to the Holy Spirit, who dwells in all believers at the very moment of salvation. Believers must seek the seek the fullness of the spirit since it is his influence that will bring about victorious Christians living here on earth. We believe that every true Christian is to be a part of a local church.

Prophetess Contura Scriven, also known as Connie, was quick to recognize God's call upon her life from a young age. At 19, she made a profound dedication to the Lord, a commitment she has faithfully upheld ever since.
Contura Scriven is a published author of three books, including “So You Think You Need a Man When All You Really Need Right Now Is Christ,” and a gospel CD, “My Everything.” Her ministry has been featured on the Preach The Word television network, and she travels nationwide to teach and share the gospel.
Called to all fivefold ministry offices, Contura currently operates in her prophetic calling and has a gift for dream interpretation, which she shares with others. As a certified Life Coach, she guides women with a focus on integrity and character. Inspired by mentors like Priscilla Shirer and Bishop Dale Bronner, she is committed to lifelong learning and plans to pursue advanced degrees in biblical studies. Married to jazz musician Charles Thompson, Contura is originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, and is passionate about spreading God’s love and purpose.
